This past month marked StylaPet Day Spa's 1 year anniversary serving New Lenox with high quality pet grooming for home or competition. Owners, Heather and Valerie, would like to sincerely thank all of our clients for their support this last year and for making StylaPet's first year such a success! To the customers who stuck with us through the transition from Gucci Pooch to our new StylaPet concept for their pet styling needs, THANK YOU for giving us the benefit of the doubt. We hope that you continue to be excited by the high level of pet care that we strive to provide. For our amazingly large number of new clients, we're thrilled that you chose us from all of the local options for pet grooming. Many of you have told us that we were the right pet groomer for your pet friends due our attention to your pet's comfort and our competition quality styling ability. That feedback confirms that our concept of a pet grooming spa that focuses on high quality care is valued by our customers as well.
We have made many friends as business continues to grow into what we had always imagined. We cannot believe all of the positive changes we have undertaken in just a short year and can't wait to see what we can accomplish together in our second year. We are just a few short weeks away from competing in the All-American Grooming show in Wheeling, IL and, in September, we will be attending Groom Expo in Hershey, PA as well as other events throughout the year to continue to learn and demonstrate the latest best practices and bring only the best equipment, supplies and knowledge back to our wonderful clients. A few Sundays ago, Heather and Valerie attended the Portuguese Water Dog Club of Greater Chicagoland's annual picnic with Heather's Declan and Valerie's Dallas. The picnic was quite a success! Heather and Valerie helped to run the merchandise table to raise money for the PWDCGC while the dogs had a wonderful time running around and swimming in the pond with their Portuguese Water Dog friends. A silent auction was run to support Nina's Pantry, a food pantry for pets so that family's are not forced to give up the pets they love during these hard economic times. Dallas and Declan also had the pleasure of meeting some of Dallas' other children and Declan's half-siblings! All around, it was a very successful day for Portuguese Water Dog lovers.
StylaPet Day Spa owners, Heather and Valerie are both at a picnic Sunday, June 26, for PWDCGC (Portuguese Water Dog Club of Greater Chicagoland) for a day of fun running around 3 fenced acres with other Porties. Their dogs are running around, that is. ;) Porties are high energy, so this is a great way to let them socialize and use up some of that energy constructively.

We held a celebration for family and friends to thank them for their help in getting StylaPet open for business and used Heather's birthday as an extra excuse for the party. Friends brought loads of goodies including Scooby-Doo fruit shaped like dog treats. Thank you everyone for helping to get this locally-owned and operated pet grooming business off the ground and soaring!!
